Different Spark Plugs Dyno'd
sparkplugs.com did a dyno test of a stock srt4. They tested a few different plugs on the same car. Better details in the link.
Kinda interesting results. http://www.sparkplugs.com/sparkplug4...fid=0&KID=3147 ![]()

I wonder why the NGK Iridium shows good consistancy on all 3 runs, but most others have a 3-5 hp variation. Makes me think engine and tire temps were not being controlled very well.

This is just a sales gimic. No dyno is presice enough to validate gains in the 3-5 hp range. If you look at the data with that deviation you would need much more tan 3 runs and it would still not mean much.
Not saying that a good set of spark plugs is not a good idea, but you cant really claim it gives you any quantitative advantage. |
