I saw some spot's of oil on the floor where i park my s2000. So i popped my hood, and it seem's like it's leaking from the top hose above the oil filter, because there are some drop's of oil on the top of the filter. Anybody have this same problem?? And should i bring it to honda, or can i replace the hose myself?? If indeed it is that hose, i also checked all the clamps and they seem to be on there fine.

This is engine oil? I may be showing my ignorance here, but I can't imagine engine oil running through a hose. I would be inclined to say motor oil is not leaking from a hose.

Yes this is motor oil!! I went to the honda dealer and they printed me out a detail drawing of the filter where the oil flows...he gave me an O-Ring. But it seems like i dont need to replace mine. And i has to be above the filter cause oil has leaked onto the top of the filter...and there is oil dripping from the hose/tube.

BTW - you should replace the O-Ring every oil change regardless if it looks like it should or not. It is called a crush washer cause the metal is weak and gets crushed upon tightening. When you take it off it will be slightly thinner than when new and could cause oil to slip out at a very slow rate.

I would definitely look above the hoses for the leak. I don't know for a fact on this car (for better or worse, I pay people to work on my cars now), but have never seen motor oil routed through hoses, and I can't imagine why they'd do it here.
In any event, best of luck. |

hahaha....now i thoroughly went through every possible situation. I think i found it!! I have oil pressure and vacuum gauges in my car, and it seem's like the so called mechanic didnt install them right and didnt use teflon tape around the threads for a good seal...

AGGHHH!!! I checked this morning and it's leaking more than ever!!! ALOT Im gonna have to take it to a honda dealership. I cant even tell where its coming from. There is oil all over the filter, all over those hosed, and all over the "T" and "nipple" from my oil pressure sensor! Does anybody know what it could be???

Valve cover gasket and head gasket would be the first places I'd look.

Not trying to discourage you from going to a dealer for the solution, but it sounds like you may have already been on the right track. You identified a problem with oil pressure gauge and after repairing it the problem stopped. I would think if it was the valve cover or a head gasket the problem would not have gone away. I am wondering if the problem got worse the next day, maybe your repair did not hold. Do you have any documentation for the gauges that might help identify a proper installation? Also did you inspect the connections to see if there is not a fitting issue here? (Threads, threads matching and swivel fittings)
Just a thought,
