What can be done to an S2000 to make it quicker other then turbo and super charger, i heard that full exhaust and extractors doesnt give it anymore power is that true? And also do biggetr pistons cams rods and injectors do much?

you can buy the spoon or inlinepro stroker kits, that alone costs almost as much as a turbo kit though.

NA is the pointless route if you want to go fast in a straight line. That is unless you want to swap in an LS1.

If you aren't going to go with boost, look at rear gears.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Hey, EXCLSV, welcome! I asked here a few months ago if there were any Aussies but no hits, nice to see you here. I work for an Oz company with an office in Vegas (you can probably guess which one) and loved the visit down under a couple of years ago, I just wish I had more time to see more. Do the S2000s there come with right hand drive?

He's talking about altering the ratio of the differential.

Your S2000 comes with a 4.10 ratio.

They offer different ones through the aftermarket....You could get a 4.55 or a 4.77 ratio, and it would get you quicker through the gears to the vehicle's top speed, but said top speed would be lower.
(essentially, you'd be turning more rpm's at a given speed, compared with the factory ratio.)

From 0-60 it would give you the illusion of more torque, which is what you're chasing.....

I figure more than $1000 , but less than $2000.

There are a few guys on the site who've done it, maybe they'll chime in on what it cost them.

No its actually changing the gears in you rearend (differential). You can either do it yourself, have a mechanic do it or buy another differential geared the way that you want and have the whole rearend swapped out. Click the link to see what we are talking about.

4.56's
http://www.hardtopguy.com/store/prod...0&cat=0&page=1

4.77's
http://www.hardtopguy.com/store/prod...6&cat=0&page=1

I went with 4.77's and had HTG install the gears into a new diff. I had the diff swapped out whenthe new one arrived and sent him back my old one in the box he sent the new one in. Return postage was already paid.

I would suggest a 'Yellow Jacket' as well the make your speedo and odom accurate.

Total cost is just over $1,000 after the refund.
