How to reset the "Maint Req" light

If your Maint Req light is flashing, it is simply a reminder to change your oil. It starts to flash after about 5,000 miles since it's last reset and will stay on after about 7,000 miles. To reset it, follows these steps:

1. With the engine off. hold down the trip button and turn the key to the 'on' position.

2. Continue to hold until the light goes out.

3. Turn the key to the 'off' position.

4. Turn the key back to the 'on' and the light should not flash any longer.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

just FYI, since some folks aren't sure. If you do this process before the maint. light comes on, you will get the same result.

Example:
if you reset the light at 4,000 miles, even though it was not flashing, it will be reset to zero.
