Wink clutch & rain leak

My clutch pedal goes halfway down before it engages the clutch. I thought my clutch was going out. But I checked my clutch fluid and noticed with the exception of a drop or two the resovoir was empty. I put some fluid in the resovoir but the pedal still goes halfway down before engaging. Should I bleed the clutch if so how?

Second question. While traveling in a thunderstorm recently, my top was leaking on the rubber seal on driver's side. Water was coming in the rubber where the two pieces come together. Any suggestions on what to do?

might need to switch to hardtop strikers (hardtopguy.com) if its a leak between where the strikers meet on pass side i had this problem and it was fixed with new strikers

Of coarse you need to bleed the clutch fluid. And you probably need to replace the 2 rubber parts. They wear due to getting in and out of the car we humans tend to brush against them.

too many, have you heard of the wonderful shin-etsu grease? Strange name, but apparently it's good to use it on all the rubber seals in the car. Might solve the leak problem...maybe. What year is your car?

If you put grease on those parts, you will get get grease on the window and on yourself when entering and exiting the car. It is not practical. It is better I think to spend $50 every 80k miles on new rubber parts.

It's made for the rubber. I don't get grease anywhere but where it belongs. Just follow directions.

I have had a problem of the grease constantly being on my window edges, but other than that, it's pretty clean stuff...just use it sparingly.

Slave cylinder might need to be replaced. My clutch stuck to the floor in the middle of a track day when I realized my fluid had never been changed.
