license plate bumper holes

I have a 05 s2000 and my question/problem is, when i bought the car it had the 4 holes on the front where a license plate would go. Well, i bought from honda the two plugs that fills those holes to make the bumper hole free. Well i put one in fine and then other not so well. What happened was the metal screw piece inside the bumpber fell out. I was wondering if there was a easy way to access the area where that piece is so I can put it back in. I looked for myself and it doesnt seem easily accessed. :/ Any help would be great because I really dont feel like taking it to the honda dealership. Also if i have to remove the front bumper does anyone have a DIY for it? Thanks

Removing the front bumper isn't hard, it's just time consuming. Lots of little screws and bolts. This might help:

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I just did this last weekend. My 04 came with both threaded nuts missing. I bought the correct parts from my local Honda dealer and used the instructions referenced above and it was a piece of cake.
