Will it absorb radar?
Question is Snaf, whudduyou think of it? I can't think of anything outright wrong with it (well, except that you might have a hard time tryin' to convince the nice officer that it was another flat-black Stewie that was operatin' in a politically incorrect fashion n' not you).
If ya goddadooitt, ya goddadooitt, right? But if the paint's in fairly good shape n' it's still capable of puttin' that stupid grin on your face when you're toolin' aroun' . . maybe jus' a pair'a cool lookin' shades. Certainly less work, cheaper n' easier to recover from if down the road should you decide it was a whoops.
N' then if you're gonna wax it all up . . it ain't gonna be flat anyway.
Be well.

Aaay Snaf . . maybe that idea of yours wasn't as odd as it seemed.
Scott's unit looks kind'a high-tech/business-like.
File this one away under "Who'd'a thunk it?"
Thanks guys.
Be well.

I don't care for flat black on ANY car except a Rat Rod.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Flat black or any primer that i know of has not defeated radar, at least in my experience

I think flat black looks too "unfinished" to me. Almost like you wanted to get a paint job, but could only afford the primer.

Now, satin black on the other hand. That's a beauty to behold. I've actually considered repainting my Subaru in a Pearl White/Satin Black two-tone.

Here's my friend's 240SX done up in Satin Black. It's hard to believe he did this himself in his garage.

Or even better, this Lotus I found on the internet.

Agreed. And getting back on your original topic..I think an S in satin black would look very sexy indeed. I would do it, but I love Spa Yellow too much. The only color I would really rather have is New Imola Orange Pearl
