Replacing turn signal side marker lights
After just purchasing myS2000 I noticed that the side marker turn signal indicators both don't work. The original owner replaced the yellow lenses with clear ones.
How do they pop off without breaking anything? I read the owners manual and it says to use a screwdriver but I just don't want to chip or break anything. Thanks.

The slide forward or backwards (I can't remember which it's been so long) and they slide out I believe. Be carefull though.

Gently push forward and swing out. You definitely do NOT use a screwdriver. To reinstall, just do the opposite. Insert the rear part of the marker, push backwards until the front retainer clears the fender and push gently in. If this doesn't make sense, here is the link to Rick's S2000 site (he sells them in case you break one): http://www.ricks2k.com/info/instruct...%20install.pdf

I just replaced mine. with clear ones. the way to remove them is to remove the two inner fender push pins then slide your hand behind the marker light and push down on the latch on the rear of the light and it will come right out. no damage and very simple.

I used a credit card to push the tab in then the marker came right out. I think I actually used a insurance card cause it was thinnner.

see my post from May 30...complete instructions are there on the correct method of removing and replacing the side marker lights. Doesn't require a credit card or a screwdriver or your first grade report card or a special dispensation from Harold the god of whole grain muffins...just push the damn thing backwards until the front clip clears and tilt it out...here is the link to Ricks so that if you can't read, you can look at the pictures...if I could do it, I'm sure everybody can...and not only does Rick show you how to remove and replace them, he also sells them so that when you break one you can buy a replacement.
