If you're REALLY serious, ZAINO...otherwise, when I want to do a protective wax, I use Meguiar's or Mother's.

I have tried Zaino and Mother's side by side on my hood and found no difference. Mother's is a two step process (put on, take off), while Zaino's is a mulit step process. I switched to Mother's.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Barry - nice color, congrats !

It depends how serious the swirls are but I'd say your best bet at removing those fine line scratches is with an orbital buffer like a Porter-Cable. With the right combo of pad and swirl remover you can do an A-1 job.

(Can be done by hand of course, just harder and lenghtier process).

I use mostly boutique products from internet stores like Classic Motoring Accessories and Specialty Motoring Products (to name just a few). Pinnacle products, Poor Boys or Clearkote are all very good.

OTC you can't go wrong with Mothers or Meguiars.

As far as the final step product (just a 10 cent term for wax!) your choice is either carnauba or synthetic. Again, most OTC products are fine especially one called ICE.

Hope this helps !

My buddy used that liquid Ice (advanced auto sells it)stuff its like a 3 step thing, I think.Anyways, he has a black evo and it had bad swirls. That Ice stuff worked really good, best stuff i've ever seen. His car turned out like showroom cond.

I Feel Ya

yea man i've had my black on black S for two days now and i've already washed it twice, the first time due to a wrong turn that made me end up on a dirt road, the second was after the first wash and dry the spot free rinse didn't wash off and i had spots all over my hood, i'm probley gunna head to auto zone and pick up some maguiers wash, wax, interior cleaner, and tire shine since i've always been told that's the best in the main market. good luck and enjoy the ride
