New Mods: tint, exhaust tips, + 1 mountain pic

So I got my windows tinted yesterday. 20% on sides and back. It is really dark, but I think it looks killer. I also picked up a used set of AP1 tips for $10 (thanks hypomanic) and painted them black because I thought it might look cool. Let me know what you think. Oh, and I also included a pic of when the lady friend and I went up to Helen, Ga for the weekend. Awesome roads/scenery up there. I had a blast carving the roads up there.

I'm not feeling the tips. I think if you painted the wheels black, it would look better. I like the compliment of the chrome/silver tips and wheels. $.02.

I do love the tint!

Nice mods. I like the dark painted tips works real well with the silver car. I think the smoke colored side marker lights would work well with your theme too.

Thanks guys, I was thinking about smoked side markers, but I wasn't sure how the dark color would look against the light silver. It would probably be better than orange, though.

I was also thinking about some satin black Enkei RPF1s- what does everyone think?

I don't like wheels that are all black, so I won't offer my opinion.

(btw - they make the RPF1 in silver also)

go to tire rack's website and you can see what they will look like on your car

If not the smoke, then the clear.......I'm not sure how dark the smoke is either, I have the clear one's on my Suzuka blue.

I'm of a fan of black wheels either. But I do have the "hots" for titanium/gun metal color (sometimes called hyper black) wheels preferably with a polished rim. They sure do hide the brake dust! I'm still looking. OEM staggered 17" seem difficult to find, at least at a price I want to pay.

Backing up is very difficult, especially if the street is poorly lit. I am going to look into some brighter back up lights to help a little bit. Other than that, it is business as usual. It looks sooooooo freaking dark at night when you are trying to look in. You can't even see a profile or anything, just black.

The 20% seems to suit me just fine. It is plenty dark, but light enough so that I can still see ok at night.

i always do 5% on the side windows and 15% on the rear. backing up in a dark area is a little tricky, you have to roll your window down a little so you can see, but during the day, especially on hot days, its PERFECT. you can see just fine, and it cuts the heat down SO MUCH.

I am surprised that I like the tips. When I was reading the description I didn't think I would.

Tell that to the cops lol...I got away with just having a doctors note for years, now IL. changed it up and we gota order special license plates for tinted windows. I wonder if they will still give me shit because its a convert. and my note says the sun gives me rashes..... I still dig the black s200s with the black hardtop and blacked out windows, THATS HOT SHYT!

looks good, love the tint and the hard top, not to sure about the tips though. It would look real nice if you paint your rims black to compliment the tint and the tips.

Yeah, I would only tint my windows if my S2K was a hardtop, too, but since it's not, I'm okay with just having clear windows, especially since most of the time, I drive with the soft top down, anyway, so there's no point in having tinted windows.

Tint looks great. Like the colour coded door plugs. Nice and subtle.

I have limo tint on my car, but I absolutely have to have it in AZ or I'm afraid my interior would melt! lol. I only got it on my side windows and my hard top though. No use in tinting that tiny excuse for a back window and making it any worse! lol

Wish I could have seen your car while I was in Arizona. Your car is sooo sweet!!

As far as my tint, I have 40% on both windows. Nothing on the soft top, and the little strip on the windshield. I'm not where SXY is, but it does get hot in Florida...
