I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Cool More pics, Mugen Top J's Type V hood

3 more pics. Quality is not great but.... Find the roof fantastic, very quiet at speed, superb finish & fit. I think the J's hood compliments the top very nicely. Turns heads everywhere!

That's the real deal. Fit is perfect. It's the FRP one not the carbon. Looks the biz.

RL1924 good luck with what ever you decide. Make sure to post some pictures if/when you get it. Another thing, you'd have to buy the fitting kit and the glass from Honda if you were going to get the e-bay stuff. Add those on and your not saving too much over the FRP Mugen. At least with the Mugen you are almost guaranteed it'll fit.

Woah! That hood looks somewhat like my dad's cousin's '08 Dodge Viper SRT10's hood, except that his Viper has a little air vent sticking out in the middle.
That looks extremely nice.

Road tax on a 08 here has now changed. Any S2000 bought before July 08 has an annual road tax of around 600 euro ($930 US approx) But any S sold after July 08 has a new road tax of 2000 euro per year ($3100 US approx)
The tax used be based on engine capacity but now it is based on emissions and unfortunately the S falls into the highest bracket.
I'd say there'll never be another new S sold in Ireland.

Something doesn't seem right about this. The S2000's motor is one of the most efficient engines ever produced. They're saying it's a high polluter?

John - who makes the hardtop? Mugen? Can the soft top be left folded down with the hardtop in place?

Thanks John, growing up in Wales until I hit 25 I remember the road tax was expensive then, now............holy moly.
For those who don't know, road tax is the same as licencing your vehicle annually. $ 930-$3,100 just to be able to drive your car on the road.
Insurance etc, is all extra.

VideoGuy, yes it is made by Mugen. It's the fiberglass version not the carbon one. To put it on, the soft top is folded down first. Got it through VtecDirect in the UK. Took a long time though to get my hands on it.
Came with the rear glass (tinted) and the Honda fitting kit too.
Makes motorway cruising very quiet now. As my car is a daily driver and the weather here is mostly wet I think it is as much a necessity as a luxury.
Thanks for all the nice comment. Will be putting more stuff on some so more pics will follow.

More Pics, Amuse, J's, Spoon, Greddy

Just a few more pics of my latest additions before I put them on the car. Will be putting the mechanical stuff on in about 3 weeks time.
1. Amuse Power House Extra W dual titanium exhaust.
2. Tracy Sports TS-02 stainless steel manifold.
3. J's Racing decat pipe.
4. Greddy e-Manage Ultimate piggy back ECU.
5. Spoon Sports Progressive lowering Springs.
Looking at getting the e-Manage installed in middle to end of September.
Will post more pics when they are installed.

Wow, looking good there, I can't wait to put my hard top on in the fall, still waiting on tint and fitment of the glass, seeing your pics sure does make me want to head out and put it on though.

Good luck with the additions, lets see some pics after those springs go on.

More added

Just an update on my latest additions. Amuse Extra W dual titanium exhaust, J's Racing Decat and Tracy Sports Header were installed today.

Sound is great, nice and quiet at idle. (not too different from stock) A lot deeper and a bit louder than stock when on VTEC.

The lightness of the exhaust compared to the Remus is incredible. (Remus is around the same weight as the stock I think) The Tracy Sports header looks superb.

Still have to put the springs on. Had to buy new front shocks. Should have them around Friday so will be lowering it in the next week or two.
