What should I use to clean and condition my top?

Does anybody use any special things to clean and treat their convertible top. I want to keep mine in great condition. My S2000 is a 2003 model and is garage kept. I just wondered if anybody had used the BMW cleaner/conditioner for convertible tops?

THANKS

David

i prefer any vynyl conditioner or soft plastic protectant. they all work great but to find one thats less oilly and colorless. since we wash our car often its not necessary to use those expansive ones.

Cleaning: 303 Convertible top cleaner

Protect & Preserve : 303 Aerospace Protectant

Make sure you get the vinyl version as all model S2k have always had vinyl tops.

Ragg Topp

The only product that is recommended is some stuff called RAGG TOPP. I'e used it on mine, and it looks and protects great.

I Agree.

Top done with 303 Aerospace Protectant on the righthand side.

VERY water proof.

Oh, n' by the way . . your photo accompaniment was very helpful. You take great pictures. I've never seen a Monte Carlo blue Stew before. Very nice.

Alotta similarities between the 303 n' ArmorAll. Did half the top with each, n' after 6 months note no difference. The seam where they came together blended perfectly too, so, if one's cheaper r' more readily available than the other, I don't think you could go wrong with either.
Be well.

'Same debate on the Miata.net site with some folks adamant about stayin' away from silicone. I've started usin' RaggTopp now. Excellent stuff.
It sounds like a bunch'a nit-pickin' is bein' thrown our way.
I figure the top's got a life expectancy. You're not goin' to get a top to live forever no matter what you put on it. While it's possible that one top treatment is better than the others, I Don't figure that any one of them will shorten the life of the top, but that lack of some sort of protectant probably will.
Pick one, any one. Treat your top. Let it dry, put it down, go for a ride.
Be well.
