DIY Tints
Just wondering if anyone knows or has messed with done tinting the windows your self... Wondering if the tints you get from say pepboys... Autozone are just crap, I figure its going to cost me around 100 to get the front windows done maybe ill give it a shot my self for the 20-30 bucks it will cost me to buy it

$100 sounds a little high. I'd say try it, it's not permanent.

The tint that the auto parts stores sell is fine.
It is not permanent but can be very difficult to get off!

I tint windows using sunteck, from what I see in the past the cheap diy tint turns purple, the s2k windows are easy to tint for one no heat shrinking is needed, you have no border around the windows just straight glass, you dont even need to take off your door panel to do it. 100 bux is really high. around here in Chicago we charge $25 a window with warranty against bubbling, peeling, fading,and turning purple.

Yea maybe thats high i havent really gotten a quote just threw word of mouth got an idea maybe it will be less.... I guess ill give it a shot...
How much does that sunteck stuff go for? |

I paid a fair bit for mine but the film was pretty pricey (something like 92% heat rejection or better which is a must here in Houston). Given my tint install skills it's not worth doing myself...

I buy my tint in huge rolls, a roll of that was about $220

HMMM. ANYBODY KNOW ALSO ABOUT THE LAW IN CALIFORNIA HOW MANY PERCENT IS THE MAX TO TINT.

I tinted my S2K windows using a kit sold on ebay. The panels are precut and the film is good quality. They look great and it was easy. 25.00
