Unhappy Broken passenger side mirror (with pics)

My passenger side mirror is broken and I need to know how to replace it. Now, the mirror is fine. The mirror moves and it works perfectly. The outside is loose.
Note: Sorry for the large pictures.

Let me zoom in....

This sucker moves around alot. So I moved it around and decided to take a picture of the inside.

This is what is behind the mirror.

The 'white circle' part of that picture looks to me like a screw is supposed to be there. But it's not. When I close the passenger door, it makes an awful (to my ears) noise. It rattles when the door slams. Is there a way that I can remove the side mirror?

The outside mirrors come as a unit. There is no parts breakout. try www.hondaautomotiveparts.com. $196.00

My drivers side mirror moves everytime I close the door and so have to re-position it each time I take her out for a drive. I have considered trying to replace it, but it has not yet driven be to start taking things apart. I will be interested to find out what you do.

It is removed from the inside of the door. You remove the door panel, unplug the connector and unscrew the mirror.

Yeah. There an OEM mirror that I need, going for $100 on Ebay. I don't need these 'carbon fiber' stuff.

You may be able to fix yours. Might just be a screw loose. Paints probably meesed up around it though. With luck you could find a used one in your color. People crash these cars up all the time.

My wife's Accord did the same thing. I shimmed it and glued in in place with trim cement.

I'd definately dope it up before I replaced it too, Phil.
I've purchased oem's from other makes already painted.
Is it so with Stewie?
