Hey now..... nothing wrong with being short....
i would rather not have to put this roll bar in my car
i just figured out that the welded diagonal is going to restrict the use of
the "secret" compartment
should have gone with the bolted in one

I agree. GoMarlins, can you do something and remove the picture of the 'secret compartment'? It's NOT a 'secret' if he posts pictures! The world might find out! EDIT IT! QUICK!

Look into Miata, BMW, or Porsche track days. They have the same situation we do in regards to the roll bars. If they are letting Boxsters, Z3/Z4's, and Miatas on, then the S can go as well.

That's actually incorrect in this case. VIR is very specific about convertibles needing more than just stock roll hoops.

You either have to have a hardtop car, or a one with a roll bar.... or so at least all the cars i have seen on the track do.

That's unfortunate for VIR.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I had no idea about the secret compartment till someone was selling a CD changer and I looked it up and saw the install instructions... I was so happy to find it... I had my S for 2 or 3 months at that point...

If you think about it, the s2k is a perfect car for someone who is young...
A- we have no kids
B - we dont have a family (kinda the same as point A)
C - we just need to get from point A to point B
D - we have time to use the car on the track
E - we are more inshape, there for making it more comfortable for us(my dad can hardly fit in my S) lol
