New paint/color for my S2K
Well after over year of trying to make up my mind i have decided to do it. I am going to paint my silvertone s2k. The new color is going to be Imola Orange Pearl. The shop I choice will have the car for about a month and will set me back about several grand, but I have always wanted this color on a s2k sence I saw the color on one in 2003. Other items I plan on installing during this time out are Carbon fiber hood, Cosco roll bar, and new bumper cover. I will post a before and after photo shoot when it is complete.
Wish me luck. Last edited by will williams; 10-11-2009 at 10:55 PM. Reason: excuse the bad grammar |

Yeah, that does sound cool. Luckily, I already have the coolest color available on any S2000...ever
However, another color I'd like to see is maybe a metallic dark red or maroon. Maybe some would call it "black cherry". That would look pretty nice on a Stewie I think. Nonetheless, the orange will be pretty 'bitchin! |

Black cherry red found on the 50th aniv. vette was my 2nd choice. As far as pulling the engine yes they are the car will be stripped down pretty much down to nothing. I just hop there will be no unplanned extra pieces when they are finished.

Awh, I can hear it now:
"Hey, where'd this thing come from?" "I dunno...what the hecks it do?" "I dunno. Ah, just toss it out; he probably won't even notice" Hopefully that's just a joke - but nice job on getting it done "right". Looking forward to pics. |

Ok here is an update. My car is in a thousand pcs., at lease it looks like it. However I did change color. The updated color is "atomic orange". It is the color found on the 2007/08 corvette. the reason i chose this color is that it is a base coat/ clear coat, not a pearl base three stage paint like the honda color. Which means that if i ever had to repaint the front end again it can be matched easily. This is the orig. reason reason i chose to repaint the car. I could not get a good match on the repaint of the front clip. I will post pics soon of the progress.

Good thinking! So are you leaving the windshield frame black, or painting it orange as well?
I know it's just black tape, but it all depends on the driver's taste. |

To be honest I didnt even think about that. I will go down tomorrow and see if the painter planed on doing it. I do know as of today the windshield is in place. I think that it the only thing still installed in the main body.

i hope it turns out... i'm not really a fan of orange though. I went to Texas A&M so I'm partial to marooooooon, hahaha.
