I am in a silver Turbo Bug with 17x7.5 Mille Miglia Porsche wheels and the teeny active spoiler.
Not so bad until...DUN DUN DUN!
You consider the fact that is has chrome heart adorned license plate surrounds with each tiny heart accentuated with a pink gloss paint outline.
Then oh yes dear friends, we move on to the interior. The wheel is draped in a lovely, multicolored heart wheel cover and it is somewhat "fuzzy" to boot.
Then we proceedeth onward to the flower vase thing and held within is a bouquet of six tiny, pink roses. Yes I know, muy macho!
Thank Gawd the windows are darkly tinted that way it can hide the inside from view, oh wait, it's 6:30 am and the sun is coming up. Its bright rays are streaming through the tint, lighting up the roses with a golden hue.
AWESOME! Now the two wonderful Hispanic men in the truck next to me can clearly see the girly innards of my ride and they share a friendly snicker between them. I get a wave and one of them makes a (from what I can tell with my head buried behind the wheel in shame) a kissy face at me as they pull away.
This is marvelous...now I hope I can sneak into the parking garage unnoticed. The boys at work will show me no mercy if they see this.
No quarter shall be given and none will be asked. We are automotive Gladiators after all. We ride proudly within our swift footed, little road Ninjas but alas, not today as I am piloting a Metro-sexual German built by Mexicans.

To introduce I live in upstate NY in my garage. A girl can't be any more at home than in my 6 bay club house surrounded by my tools n toys! My stable already includes an 87 944, 06 WRX, 01 Range Rover, 99 Amigo and 00 3500, among a few other guests. Story is I'm in the works of adding an s2k to my garage family! (its a birthday gift to my self :cool:) I'm hoping to buy end of winter to spring time. The car will be garage kept, summer driven only and will only suffer sum modification ;) because the car will be strickly summer, I don't see the need to purchase just as the new york winter approches. yuck. Not to mention the winter punching bag of my stable (99 izusu amigo) is getting a fresh coat, and is currently dismembered in the bay I hope to park my new toy in. I will begin my searching early january (as of right now) for an 04 or newer s2k in white w/ tan interior between 0-36k w a clean title for 17-22 grand, depending on how my finances fair through the winter months. any recommendations on what i should keep an eye out for or anything that would be useful to have in my garage specifically for working on s2ks? and whatcha all think about buying dealer vs. private?

I am very happy. I am very happy because not only do I love this freaking car I also got it for a steal. I have been lurking in various S2000 forums and amongst the wilds of the online classified services looking for the perfect S2000 at least perfect for me that is :)
I had looked at 1700 of them online in just about every state in the CONUS.
I had faxes from several states and phone calls from lots of dealers when I just happen to notice a super clean, one owner specimen at a Porsche dealership. Technically it was a: Bentley, Aston Martin, Maserati, Porsche, Mercedes dealership, you know all those really affordable brands ;)
Anyway I thought hmm maybe these guys look at this car as something the help will drive the garbage down to the curb in and will not realize its true value, and of course it was so. WOOHOO!
To make a long story short I packed the wife into the 300+ (possibly 400) horse power, psychotically modified MazdaSpeed Protege and we headed off 80+ miles to Porsche dealer. So on the way I get a phone call from the salesman telling me his boss had given him until the end of the month (today) to get, "That damn little, cheap car off his lot as it was making the place look bad!" I acted unconcerned with his predicament and made the statement, well I don't like those wheels very much and I'm not really sure I want it, his response was to say, I will cut you a deal. I said, I will give you 13 grand. He accepted.
So I showed up test and drove the heck out of it, as did he, the salesman was a great driver btw and we both proceeded to spank that little Japanese sum-bitch all over the side streets of North D-town.
So I bought it for 4500.00 under Kelly Bluebook and drove away a happy man, well almost happy as the wife got to drive the 80 miles home and suddenly her lovely, little turbo bug wasn't quite as lovely as it had been pre-S2000 :)

Bet you didn't know you could get these at Walmart.
Sorry so long for the pic my father fell in April when I was trying to close the deal. It almost didn't happen, there's more on that. I have been taking care of Dad, during recovery and having a blast driving this car.
I found this new 2008 at a dealer in GA that was in a hurry to unload it. They had it listed at a price that was lower than many of the used cars I had looking at. I called to inquire on the details and they lowered the price more to seal the deal. Picked it up for $26300 it had 50 miles on it.
The other thing that happened was trying to get there. I live in upstate NY the car Milledgeville GA. I couldn't get there with out spending a bunch, so I loaded up the truck and drove down and got it.
Needless to say I am very happy with the car, it's amazing!
Love this forum have been doing more reading than posting.
