Just had it scanned and got the P1399, P0301 & P0302. So multiple, #1 and #2 misfire. I'll try swapping coil packs 1 & 2 with 3 & 4 and see what happens. (That is, when I can find my tools after the move a couple of months ago). And yes, my gas cap is on many, many clicks.

So today i had my oil changed at the honda dealership. My odo is at about 80,000 and at the time of the change they placed a sticker at the top of windshield saying 88,000 for the next change to be due. I understand that its fully synthetic oil at this mileage interval, but ive always changed my oil and filter at 3,000 miles (old habits) for every honda ive ever owned. Just curious how long everyone else goes between changes? I'd like to hear from people with synthetic oils as well as non-synthetic and which types they prefer?

Searched and could only find something about the blue wire and VTM being hooked up wrong.

Any other ideas?
Here's my car by the way... the motor screams with only 1450lbs to pull.

Hey guys ive been wanting to buy a snorkel for the oem airbox for sometime but have decided 300 bucks is wacko. So ive come up with the idea to try and create one myself using parts available at local stores.

If anyone has a useful idea on how to do this please post it!!

Im at work currently but after work im gonna go around to some auto parts stores and see what i can find. The only material i can think of right now is the adjustable tubing for dryer exhaust and cutting a funnel and securing it to the end of the tube. but if anyone else has any better ideas im all ears

Hey all,

Anyone else ever notice a click on their clutch pedal? It happens within the first two inches of depression, and within the last two inches of release. It's definitely somewhere in the pivot point, but I'm just curious if anyone else has run into this problem. The only info I've found in searching is that it occurs in the RSX and Integra as well....which I wouldn't be surprised if they have the exact same clutch assembly as us. We'll see today I guess, as I transform into Gumby and try to crawl underneath the dash :(

I created this thread as a discussion of various engine acostics based on different configurations of what people may have. For example.

I have a K&N air filter with the stock air box. The engine sounded a nicely tuned machine.

I then decided to take off the top stock box (resonator) and found that the engine behaves with much more of a growl at sub-vtec engagement. After Vtec, the engine acoustics literally "roar" to a much more aggressive note.

I have seen other S2000's tuned with various parts such as test pipes, stage 1/2 cams, exhaust etc.

I want an engine that sounds even better (yes I know I'm addicted) Although it may not sound as sonorous as a Ferrari, it is still an amazing marvel for a 4 cylinder 2.0 L powerplant

The next upgrade will most likely be JS Racing muffler. Although I've heard the Nvidia N1 single modified exhaust alone will make the car sound like an even better race car.

Then again upgrading an all naturally aspirated motor
will give the driver even better realizations of engine acoustics.

A few basic upgrades I'm going to find will give better acoustics and power from the engine.

-K&N filter, removed intake resonator
-Header > mugen / js racing
-Exhaust *** this is a tough one because I want the vehicle to retain it's quiet nature while driving passively.
however I want to fully potentiate the engine performance with the right muffler

Yesterday I was showing off the car to some girls I work with and I started it up and reved it up and it stopped at 7,000 even with the pedal floored. I didn't hold it there for even a second before I let off but it obviously was the limiter.

Then today I was coming home and the car was not warmed up yet when I floored it in 2nd and again got locked out at 7,000.

You don't have to tell me it's bad for the engine, I know.

Anyways, later after the engine had warmed up more I could get up to 8,000 with no issue.

I looked in the manual and it didn't say anything about the rev limiter being at 7,000 if the engine isn't warmed up. So is it programmed to do that? Is there any documentation on this?

My 1999 S2000 fuel pump continues to run for about 30 minutes when I've switched the motor/ignition off.

I can hear it run for 5 seconds, stop for a few seconds and start again, the stop intervals gradually get longer and after 30 minutes the pump finally stops running.

First time it happened I disconnected the battery and the next day when I reconnected it, the pump only started once I turned the ignition on.

But after a drive same thing, switch motor off and fuel pump continued running - this time I unscrewed the fuel cap, there was a hiss as the pressure in the tank was released and the pump immediately stopped, but after every drive it still happens.

Otherwise the car is running fine, has anyone else experienced this problem?. Thanks
