I would want it configured in "always on" mode. The stock bulb would work randomly, so I bought and installed a new bulb, but the light still doesn't turn on when I open the trunk.

Note: when I first installed the new light, it turned on ... but since then, it never turns on when I open the trunk! None of the other lights in my car are having issues. I visually inspected the trunk light housing and it looks clean/no corrosion ...
