anyway, as some of you know i have a 2004 with about 36K miles on it. Salvage title, but nothing that influences it's great handling... i always wanted to try AP1, and i found one that could be what i was looking for. Needs some work, but it's 2002 with 31K miles, and i have all the parts to fix it. I even think i'm going to put ap2 transmission and differential on it. what do you think should i sell mine and buy 2002, or just stick with mine?

I originally joined s2ki in 2007...so I'm not exactly a newbie to these forums.

I live in CA in the "gold country" at an altitude of 2700 ft. The weather has recently turned cold (by CA stds, 40 degrees at night, increased humidity from 20 percent to 85 percent). The last four starts have been slow. (Over one week)

Today my s2000 started immediately after not driving for 9 days. I drove it 6 miles. After sitting for 1-1/2 hrs it wouldn't turn over, just hrump-hrupmh. I waited ten minutes. Same problem. Waited 5 more minutes, but gave a pump of the gas pedal. It started immediately. Did not run rough.

I have had regular maintenance, the latest being April 2009. I bought the car NOV 2007 with 5,700 miles. It now has 14k. Driving is usually 2-3 times a week, country driving, rarely over 50 miles per hour, usually 15 miles round trip, avg speed 35 miles per hour (what a shame!).

I buy Supreme gas (in CA $3.89 gal!) but it is from a no-name station. (There aren't many choices here). Maybe bad fuel? I wait until the tank is nearly empty before refilling...a tank usually last 3-4 weeks for me...maybe a clog in the fuel filter?

Is the issue temp/humidity? Or not enough long drives?

The easy solution (which is almost always the issue) is just that I have an original battery that is at the end of its life.
