Exhaust
Hey guys,I have a 2002 S2K. i just bought the Skunk2 cat-back exhaust, and a new stainless DC Sports header. I aslo have an AEM VS cold air intake. i have them on and was wondering what kind of horsepower i should be getting at the wheel. i also ordered a high-flow racing catalytic converter. how much more horsepower will that give me when it comes in and i install it. i read that the skunk2 adds 12 HP at the wheel but it doesnt feel like it. thanks for the help. My next purchase will be an APEXi AFC/VETC controller. hoping that will really make a difference!

you really think the header lost HP, it feels so much stronger with. I dont know much about this stuff, why would the Header make me lose HP?

Fluid dynamics LOL But a simpler explanation is honda knew what they were doing when they designed their header. Does your new header have mounts for the heat shield I cant remember I know some headers do not. But your header has shown a loss on dynos.

how much of a loss. It feels so much stronger with the header on there. And no it doesnt have any mounts for a heat shield. I couldnt even tell when i put the exhaust on, but now that i have the header it just pulls a lot harder. I readin import tuner that it supposedly gave 4 HP, but you know some of that stuff is wrong

What you could do, although it does cost some money, is to do a dyno run with the header on and then change it our for the stock one and do another dyno run. It does cost money and will take a good portion of the day due to needing a little time for the header to cool off, but then you would know for sure (at least as sure as you can be with only a couple dyno runs) if it lost HP or not.

One last question guys, the exhaust (skunk2) came with these (i think they are called) baffles that you stick in the muffler. would it make more HP with them in or out?
