If you could
If you could go either Supercharged or Turbo, which would you choose and why?
I am wanting to drive the car as a daily driver so streetability is very key. I will also take the car out onto the track on occasion to "blow the bugs out". I like a smooth, even powerband. Also, at what level should i consider an EMS and high perf injectors??? Cheers, |

You just described the supercharger to a tee.
SC: Cheaper Easier to live with Less tuning involved Turbo: More power/ torque Cooler to look at/have (IMO) If you can afford it and the car is a toy, go with the turbo. If money is an issue or your car is a daily driver, go with the SC. I am not saying you can not daily drive a turbo S2000, I am just saying that it is more reliable with a SC (from my personal experience).

Its hard to call anything cheap when you are still paying a pretty penny.
Also they are both dd, no one said you have to slam the gas to show off your turbo. So if you've got the money and a shop you can trust to install it and tune it get a turbo. Otherwise SC it.

Yeah I think I would rather have a turbo for more power and the awesome sound off the blow-off valve but I guess a SC is more practical for a daily driver.

S/C, they sound cooler, other than the blowoff valve.

I personally like a turbo setup although if you are looking just to have a fun daily and you are not looking for alot of power a supercharger is a good alternative. I know from experience that a turbo setup is not cheap. I spent over $9,000 on my turbo setup & supporting mods and that is in just parts without installation fees (I do everything myself) and tunning (that is about another $600)
If you are looking for bragging rights and want to have the power that you want at any time then I suggest you turbo your car. (I would suggest that you go with full-race). As far as the question about tuning. Anytime you make any modifications to the drive train I really suggest that you have a true tunning solution. And since there is Hondata Kpro out now for the s2k I really strongly suggest that you look into that. It is a great tool. I have it and I absolutely love it on my turbo RSX-S.
