DIY: AEM Map sensor install
Well we all know that when going forced induction and boosting above ~10psi the stock MAP sensor starts to go wack. I decided to use an AEM 3.5 bar MAP sensor. This is a rather easy install, but with no instructions included with the MAP sensor, it could be confusing.
Mounting it I decided to use this block adaptor from Tuner Toys: http://tunertoys.zoovy.com/c=uogsUib...vic_Turbo.html It screws right in to the factory MAP sensor spot. $20 well spent. You can mount it anywhere, the block was personal preference. Once mounted, cut off the factory MAP sensor clip. Cut down the AEM (or whatever other brand sensor you used) MAP sensor wires. Shear the ends and start soldiering. Red goes to yellow/red Green goes to green/red Black goes to green/white Be sure to use some shrink wrap to protect the connections. If you are using the AEM EMS, be sure to use the map sensor wizard and choose the map sensor you are using. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Voila, piece of cake.
