Vortech Supercharger ?s
I've got a few:
1. The allen screw that is in the compressor before the aftercooler and bov, is this right handed? 2. Should oil be getting on the flange that is visible when the black intake pipe is taken off? Thanks.

2. You may be getting some blow by through the breather hose going to the elbow from the valve cover, a little is acceptable, excessive may be a problem. Perhaps try some krank vents or an oil catch can. |

Thing is I've already got a catch can hooked up to the breather hose. I get no signs of oil going into the catch can but STILL get oil in the elbow and pooling on the flange that is visible when the elbow is taken off. I also have a supra pcv along with the stock pcv setup. Reason for my posts is that I'm getting excessive oil coming out of my bov.

Well if its coming out your bov then the problem isnt your motor its your sc.

Good and Thanks! That's what I like to hear but I wasn't sure. VERY nervous that there is something wrong with my motor but by the way it runs I don't think so. That's why I'm going to do a compression check just to make sure. If a ring was bad wouldn't oil be getting burned and blowing out the tail pipe as opposed to coming out the bov?

Trying to take the allen screw out that is on the compressor. Been told if there is oil in there then that points to the seals in the sc as well.

Sounds like the S/C may have a leak somewhere. Also, you can have a bad oil scraper ring and still have good compression as the oil scraper ring has nearly no effect on compression. Best way to determine if oil is getting past the rings is to check for "ringwash". This is when the edge of a piston is very clean (due to oil getting by) and the rest of the piston is covered with carbon (normal). You can do this by taking the head off or using a borescope through the spark plug holes.

Thecarguy youre right I totally forgot about the breather hose. It could be oil coming from that too. Seems strange that a low mileage motor would trash the scrapers and not do more damage to the motor but you never know. Ashame you live far away my dad has a nice digital borescope that he loves to play with haha
