Which Turbo Ranks Highest?

Im going to turbo my 04 s2000 but i wanna make sure i get the best performance for my money. Which kit do you think would give me the most hp gain? And what would be best for the 1/4-mile times.. a bigger single turbo kit or a twin turbo set-up with one larger and one smaller ?
thanks.

no one does twins on these cars.

gt3076R is a very nice sized turbo and will do more than make lots of peak power. gt35r will make more power total but it will be peakier.

if i were to do a turbo setup it'd be like so...

gt3076r
pfab top mount manifold
AEM 1052
RC750cc injectors

I know they don't do it and never seen it... But why is that that they don't do twins? Just not enough room or more technical?

twins are always going to me more a pain in the ass and cost more of course

2x turbos
2x wastegate
2x oil feeds
2x oil returns
extra complication on the header
extra complications with the charge pipes

inline motors (and rotaries) with OEM twins are usually done so to help with spool... two small journal bearing turbos on a cast manifold... pretty inexpensive when you're looking at a corporate contract from mazda or toyota...

i dont know any oem turbo cars from the 80s and the 90s that came with ball bearing centers.... if they had the technology and it was affordable i would think a lot of the older tt cars would have had a bigger single.

you see twins on V motors a lot more often simply due to plumbing reasons.. to put it simple: crossover pipes are a bitch to package. if you just run a turbo for each bank you dont have to figure out how to route one bank over to the other bank to power a single turbo.

on an s2000 underhood heat is one of the biggest "problems" i always hear FI guys talking about... two turbos means more header plumbing and more exhaust housing surface area to dissapate heat.... not to mention if you go with a smaller turbo like the gt3076 i mentioned you can have those gains across the powerband as its a bb turbo and small enough the f20/f22 can spool it easily enough.

i think i have seen numbers on s2ki of guys with basically the setup i have above making 450 to the wheels quite easily. once you crest 450 you are probably looking at a headgasket, some bigger injectors and a puddydad diff (which can be over $2,000 btw...)

I was hanging out with a bunch of FD rx7 guys last week and all they were talking about was going to a bigger single turbo from their sequential twins.

Wow! I think my friends stock turbo on his mk4 1.8T Jetta is bigger than that. And that thing is small.
