Changing some things up
I've been wanting to hide my nitrous stuff for a while. For the past 10 months I've had it on, it looked like garbage. It was just put on to just work originally. Im kinda embarrassed to even post up the pics. The makeshift PCV oil catch can was taken off within a day so ignore that as well.
Heres what it used to look like. ![]() ![]() Since it was nice out, I decided to start up on hiding it. Theres enough room in the useless compartment of the airbox to mount my solenoids so I decided to throw them in there. There were 2 holes on the back were where I originally mounted my solenoids so Im just gonna run my solenoid wires through them. ![]() ![]() ![]() I drilled into the airbox from the bottom in resonator(Im guessing thats what it is) compartment on the driver side of the airbox and I ran my nitrous line through into that. I also put 3/8" fuel line around the nitrous line so it hides it. It just looks like any other line in the engine bay. ![]() Can't even see the nitrous line I bet. ![]() I also redid my fuel pressure regulator hoses and hid them underneath the fuel rail cover. From there I ran the hose next to other hoses and drilled into teh bottom of the intake box. If you aren't looking for the hoses, you probably won't even notice. It looks 100% better than having a tee and hoses sitting on the valve cover. ![]() ![]() I haven't redone the electrical stuff yet, but I plan on mounting my relay to the side of the engine bay near the battery. Theres a few inches to play with in between the battery and the side of the engine bay. I'll throw some small corrugated piping type conduit over the wires and you won't even be able to distinguish it from other electrical wires. ![]() After this, Im gonna hide my nozzle in the intake box as well and I'll also purchase an electronic WOT TPS switch to remove the microswitch from the throttle body. After all of that, I should be pretty much set. Im thinking I might even drill again into the bottom of the airbox to run the solenoid wires so they're hidden moreso and filling up those holes. Any suggestions/comments appreciated. Last edited by D1sclaimer; 03-20-2009 at 05:20 PM. |

Your original install wasnt that bad I have seen worse. I remember seeing a methanol injection install over on s2ki that made me cringe he should have been ashamed to post that up haha. Are you trying to hide it for money reasons?

Everyone local around here knows I have it, so I'm gonna tell people that I had a backfire so I took it off. See if I can sucker anyone into racing a "stock" s2000. |

I just remembered that I never finished this thread so heres it 99% done. Everything except an electronic WOT switch so I don't have to have a microswitch on the throttle body.
![]() ![]() ![]() And I got it dyno'd today on a mustang dyno. No spray. Invidia 63mm test pipe and K&N drop-in filter. ![]() With the 70 flywheel shot and mods above. No engine management with a .038 nitrous jet. The biggest I recommend people going without a tune.

A 56 hp gain for that!?! I thought nitrous was a bit more complicated than that. I got so many questions now, like.... Wait, I'll just search the past threads on this subject and I find my answers that way. Who knows, I might learn something new that I wasn't expecting.
yes, this is a cheap shot directed to Blindkiller |

Nice to see someone actually dyno a nitrous shot. 56 hp at the push of a button is nice. By the way with your shot any estimates on how many quarter mile just nice long pulls you could get? I think nitrous is great but not for me I go wot way to much I would go broke quickly.

youd be getting close to 12's with that 8th. I ran a 13 flat with a 8.6 8th mile. I cant find my 12.8 run so I dont know what my slip was.

WOW thats pretty damn cool i made a comment before in one post that nitro seemed a little bit of a waste but i stand corrected. I love the stealth job too.. Is that 50 or 75 shot?
