After months of searching and financial setbacks/delays I've got a deal under way to get my hands on a 2002 GPW s2000, I was fortunate enough to email the guy and get a response that he still wants to sell the car and will sell it to me for $12,000 since the car now has 85,000 miles on it. I Carfaxed it and it came out clean.

But yeah the guy is gonna change it all back to stock before he sells it to me so I'm gonna make sure I get those OEM wheels back on there lol
You might consider asking to keep those 17 inch wheels and just go get them sprayed (or powdercoated) the color you want. AP2 V1 wheels are a hot commodity and you might prefer them over the AP1 16 inch wheels.

When the guy got it he said the transmission was in really bad shape (it wouldn't stay in gear), so bad that the only way he could drive it was by holding it in the gear he was driving in. So after about a month of that he just decided to replace it with a new one.
