Looks nice but for that kind of change you could get a nice M3 convertible. Good luck with the sale.

Hey guys, be nice (wow, bet you all never thought you'd hear ME say that).

Markup from dealer-modified cars is generally several times higher the sum of the parts. But in many cases, you are buying a car professionally built by career Honda technicians. AND you are paying for a heavily modified car that retains all the benefits of the original Honda warranty. But sometimes they just mark it up a little extra for the sake of it.

My question to the seller, how are you able to verify the 375 HP? From what I have seen in the past, S/C S2000's generally only make 300-325 to the wheels short of having some serious extra work. So, does the buyer get the dyno plots to back up the claim? Because if not, they may be a little upset if they buy it, put it up on rollers, and come up 50-75hp short of what they purchased.

Well, he made no mention of an upgraded pulley, fuel system, or any other supportive mods. Just the S/C kit, aftercooler, and i/h/e.

And it's not a direct-from-honda car. Most notably because the S2000 is built in Japan, and Comptech is an American company. So it doesn't make complete sense. But dealers do this kind of thing fairly often.

They also do outrageous markups because they think they can (case in point, a local Honda dealer who charged $250 for a "striping installation" that takes 10 minutes and some 3-M plastic "striping". They also wanted $150 for the wheel locks and $250 for "dealer prep". Of course this was for a Civic Si so someone probably paid it).

Not only that but I would be careful saying "ratain factory warranty" I have contacted honda several times over, and not ALL dealerships will warrant those parts. especially on the east coast, I asked the service manager where I bought my S, and he had never heared of comptech, so he called honda on speaker with me sitting there and Honda clearly stated NO Comptech is no officially made by honda, therefore it is considered an "aftermarket part" and will not be covered under warranty. Before anyone starts that Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act crap, I can also tell you that it does not exactly work the way everyone says it does. Be prepared to have your car down for 6-7 months, and get a lawyer.

Way too high. $40,000, maybe $45,000 tops I could see, but that's nuts to pay more than that.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

When I answered this thread yesterday I didn't realize it was three months old and the OP hadn't posted anywhere else but in this thread. I am guessing the deal is dead by now.

Wow, thats a steal.....let's see. I got my 07 new for $28,000 so $52,000 minus the $28,000 leaves us with....

$24,000.....now $24,000 minus the actual value of those parts and some labor leaves us with......

$14,000.....now that $14,000 so you should be asking around $38,000 or you can take it and you can go right up your ass.

Thanks for shopping!

I saw it a few weeks ago at the dealership. It was still there and I think it was 37,000. They claimed it had the Honda warranty.
