Interior swap project

Found a guy that wants to swap his ap2 tan interior for my ap1 black. How big a project is that? I haven't seen his car yet, so I don't know all that needs to swapped.

An upholstery shop just quoted $1500, which makes this a no go. Any ideas?

pull up in a parking lot with a tool box?

seats carpet plastic... I foresee the dash might be the biggest pita.

dash will take some time. as will roll hoops if you have to do those (i can't remember). carpet, seats, and center console are all pretty easy.

Oooh, sorry to hear that. Dash and roll hoops too, huh? Yeah, swapping cars sounds easier.

At the risk of annoying the our other team, I can't see shifting at ONLY 8k rpm. The car's just getting going.

Wow it's amazing how a thread can drift away, like a loose barge in a hurricane. Keep it together people!

You don't need to swap the dash if his interior is all black the dash in a tan interior is black as well. The door panel inserts carpeting and seats are all that needs to be swapped.

Well, that is the question. How much tan is in a tan s2k. I still haven't seen his car. How many diff combos there in 2006? Were the rollbars and dash ever tan?

Any of the plastic molding tan?

I agree - this might end up being a great prelude for Rattle-Mania 2009.

But I don't think the dash or roll hoops have ever been tan. You're probably going to get something like this. (Pretty nice looking, by the way).

Hey, I really like that! Thanks for the pic.

Sorry, I don't get the rattle reference. If only seats, carpet, console and door cards... whats to rattle?

I think I am on board for this after all!
