Power Outlet Doesn't Work

Just bought my 2000 and tried plugging my phone in and there's no power....it's weird because the cord lights up but won't charge the phone....Anyone know how to fix that or how much it is at the dealer to replace??

Thanks.

What do you mean, the cord lights up? There is either power or no power.

There's a light on my phone cord that was on so I could assumed that there was power.....but, it cut in and out and in and out and eventually stopped working...Then I tried my GPS to ensure it wasn't the cord and that cut out too so I'm assuming it's the outlet???/

First clean the outlet. It might be dirty. Then check the fuse if cleaning didn't work.

If none of the above works, take it to your local honda dealer.

Longshot here, but you do know that the outlet is only hot when the ignition is on right?

The lock nut on mine fell off and it was a b!tch to get my big hand behind that console the put it back on without removing a lot of plastic.
I'm bettin' on loose connection or bad ground.

It's also pretty easy to add an outlet to the right of the radio (on that side panel with dimples).
