Dash Lights Flickering?

Hey Dudes and Dudettes, more problems tonight I was coming home from work and the dash lights started dimming out. Not completely off but at idle the RPM and speedo would start to flicker but if I was to do more than 900rpm at a stand still and driving they are fine! Checked the Alternator and it's at 13.9v , any idea's? Thanks Chaz

maybe a bad connection, Chaz check your fuses see if any of them are hot they get hot when they are dirty and have a poor connection. just something to check,

turn the lights on and move the wires under your dash see if there is a flicker of your dash lights try to isolate the wires that affect the dash lights and look for a bad connection.

See if replacing the fuse to the dash lights fixes it. I haven't had my S long enough for there to be a problem but everything else I've owned has had fuses go bad - they don't blow, they just make an intermittent connection.

Where did you measure the 13.9 V? If it was at the battery then you might be surprised to know there is a voltage drop of nearly a volt at the inside fuse box. I am planning on running a wire from the secondary fuse box under hood to power my SPA gauges and eliminate this condition.

I'm running everything stock EXCEPT an AFC Neo controller that is powered by the aux fuse spot. It is mostly for the face light, one thing is that the dome light doesn't work either.
