LED or something in glass ?

I was wondering if anyone has purchased or looked into this ...umm i dont know how to explain it
but the glass between the two seats..between the headrests..
ive seen it where they've etched in s2000 into it and it lights up

just wondering where you'd connect that light to..
I dont know much about hooking up LEDs etc or other electronics,
but if I were to do anything thats an add on electronic wise, ..would i lose an electronic feature in my dashboard somewhere?

I called Honda up..originally to ask about swapping a 2003 model s2000 headlights and tail lights to 2004 +.

they said it was "impossible" and that id lose electronic function in something int he dashboard in order to get this done.

(this made me buy a 2006 model in the end, rather then getting messy with an older model). just wonderin what they meant by this ?

I did a google search and found this regarding the wind deflector:

http://www.dynamicautoconcepts.com/FAQS.aspx

They explain exactly how they do it on their particular design.

Just my own personal preference, but I wouldn't want anything that would interfere with rearward visibility. I'm 5'4" and I already have issues with seeing out the back of the car so I would not want any illuminated anything visible in my rear view mirror that might block rear vision.

Don't know anything about the headlight tail light thing, although even if it were do-able I can't imagine any on-the-clock Honda employee who would advise you to attempt that kind of modification since if it failed miserably you could go back to them and say "you said it would work!" and then they get put on a hook for your botched situation.

That's typically what they're going to say. The headlight and taillight swap can certainly be done, as mentioned above, and is even documented on at least one other S site.

i have the same one but it lights up red. it is not bright like you would think. its suttle like the white one color. i wired my to the running lights in the rear tailight, but it also has a toggle so i can override it. cops never bother me either.

diff OP, same pics....

adopted lesbian Canadian/Korean with rich Japanese parents.......how've you been?

(I'd run power from the 12 volt socket wiring in the center console, and install an on/off switch inside the glove box.)

personal opinion is that it's too lame a feature to be worth the effort.

the only real purpose it served was a deflected more wind than the smaller OEM one. the old ladies hair blows around a lil less thats about it.
