VSS location for Navi install, help please!
Hi everyone. I've been a member since March, but this is my first post.
I have a 2005 S2K and I just purchased a JVC KD-NX5000 single DIN navigation unit and will be installing it soon. My question is, where is the VSS location on the ECM? I need to tap into this for the navigation to work correctly. Thanks in advance! Last edited by cans2k; 11-17-2009 at 07:41 AM. |

You might want to ask this on S2kca.com. Look for the Xviper (or repiv) s2000 thread. If anyone can tell you where to look, it's Dave. (but why do you have to tap into anything? Isn't this a stand-alone unit?)

It is replacing the factory head unit and needs to tap into the vss for proper navi function. This is not uncommon for most in-dash navi units. I've owned 2 other Pioneer units that required the same thing.

The variable speed sensor is the black and white wire on the passenger side behind the kick panel. Go to modifry.com and find the plug and play adapter for the Pioneer H/U. Bob shows you how to hook this up.
