I have to replace lower seat cushion.
About 1 week after taking delivery of my S, I hurt my back. I found it a lot less painful to enter the car by sitting on the lower bolster and rotating my lower body in. Due to this, the seat cushion got ruined.
I just got an OEM replacement cushion for $187 and the guy who replaced my convertible top will replace the cushion for $75. FWIW: My back is now fine so I don't think the problem will recur. And no, I'm not too fat for the seat.

$75 bucks is quite a fair price for the task that lies ahead. I did this when my interior got wet a few years back, to let everything dry out. It's a tedious process, but can be very well-done if you take your time (or someone else does). The metal hog rings that hold everything together can be replaced by small zip ties if you don't have the special tool. Best of luck with it.

The hog rings are not too hard to deal with as long as you have the hog ring pliers.
