Installed intake, disabled battery, need radio code (electronic problem)
Ok, I know some of this is engine talk but it deals with radio in the end. I installed an Injen intake and I had to unplug my battery terminal to get the sensors back in check (check engine light came on after install). Anyways, I don't have much documentation with my S2k cuz its an 03 and I bought it used about 3 weeks ago. I knew the radio was going to be reset because this isn't my 1st honda but I don't have the code. I have looked all over the car, trunk, inside door jams and etc for the code but can't find it. I remember on my 04 Accord it was underneath my trunk lid but it's not on my stewie. How do I go about resetting my radio and/or getting it to work again?
Thanks for any help guys. |

Aaay El! 'Hope that you're doin' alodda drivin' n' not jus' wrenchin' on your new ride.
Dunno 'bout where you're at (if it's Colorado, please disregard) but out here in Joisey we've got the Christmas from the Caribbean n' the top-down opportunities abound. Today's supposed to be high 60s. Maybe we shouldn't be concerned 'bout global warmin', but you can bet your car keys that when the water gets to my lower lip I'm gonna mention it to some@*#&in'body! Now, for the code: if memory serves me there's a couple'a posts on the topic that'll answer your question. Be well. Java

To save yourself alot of trouble taking the radio out there's an easier way. On 2003 models up you can get it electronically. Turn radio on and make sure it says code...if it says error disconnect battery or pull fuse for one minute and it'll reset. With key on and radio off, push and hold the #1 & #6 preset buttons and turn radio on. It will toggle between two screens. The first screen will show U and 4 numbers, the second screen will show L and four numbers. Those are the serial numbers to the radio. Just call your local dealer and give them the serial number and they can give you the code.

Mine, and a whole lot of other cars I've seen, is just inside the glove box door at your elbow. The dealers tend to write it down on the sticker that is there. I just had to reset mine today after my SO left the dome light on for 3 days.
