12v accessory plug
Can any one describe for me the best way to get into the back of the console where the 12v accessory plug is located? In my s2000 this plug is right at my right elbow and must have so for the previous owner because it has been knocked loose in its mount. It rattles and using it is problematic since it moves back and forth in its mount. Worse fear it that wires will break loose and short out, causing, at the minimum, a blown fuse. My experience with Honda autos it that the trim will usually snap apart fairly easily IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO PRY!
Anybody know where to pry? Thanks, |

I am looking for the diagram, but am at work and can only look for a few minutes at a time. I will continue to check though.

Mine was loose just the same, but a little epoxy tightened it right up.
If I remember correctly, there are 4 screws and a handful of tabs holding the glvoebox assembly in place. But I wouldn't take that as fact, just a fuzzy memory.

Sorry it took so long, but I did find this as a description of how to fix this problem:
As written by Jim Schmidt: To get to it, remove the panel behind the driver's seat (which is held on by the coat hook and a few clips) then remove the screws from the bottom of the center area (with the compartments). You can then reach in and tighten the PP screw collar. It tightens by hand. 10 minute job. Another description of how to do the fix by DEIGER: Move the driver seat all the way forward. Remove the screws from the two hooks on the black panel (they look like clothing hooks). Then remove this panel. Now lift up the leather pad on the arm rest from the back. Remove the two screws on the bottom of the glove box underneath the pad. Now you should be able to move the plastic out enought to get a hand behind the plastic. The DC adapter has a metal sleeve that for some reason likes to unscrew itself. Simple hold the outside portion of the DC adapter and screw the sleeve back on. Now replace all the screws in the reverse order you took them out.
