undocumented indicator?

What is the purpose of the circular light/indicator directly to the left of the high beam light indicator and directly to the right of the milage display? This is not noted in the owner manual.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.
