CD Changer

I just installed the CD Changer in the storage compartment between the seats. The ride is so firm that it skips over big bumps. Any solutions? Thanks

You got one to fit there? You're skipping problem is why I'm glad I use an iPod instead. Aside from switching to an iPod I think your only solution is to not have the unit solidly mounted to the car's body/chassis.

Well, wk, I think you jus' discovered why they didn't use that space for the factory unit.
Be well.

The factory units are placed in the trunk in the horizontal (flat) position, not sideways. That may be your problem. I have a S2K CD changer in my Insight and it sits facing up. It will skip when I hit a bump, but I don't listen to discs all that often any more with Sirius in the car.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Either the trunk or hidden glove box are listed as suitable places for the CD changer. Did you use the OEM mounting hardware to mount the changer?

Yes, I used factory equip. It installed very easy. the hardest part was running the wiring harness from the front to the back, for the XM. Thanks for all the comments.
