Battery Died Now Radio needs code

Hi everyone,

My 03 Stewie battery dies yesterday. I put the charger on it overnight and this mornig she fired right up. I question is does anyone know the code for the original radio? I have an 2003 with factory radio.

Thanks in advance for any help.

'Wouldn't be much of a security measure if we all had your code Coz.
If you've got the original owners manual, n' the little credit-card sized owner's ID card it'll be on there.
If those items r' unavailable, I imagine it can somehow be done on line, but the Neanderthal in me says take it down to the dealer n' gedditt.
Be well.

Java is correct. You either need the little card that came with the car or you will have to go to the dealer. I am not sure if they can get it through your VIN or not. Worse case is they have to pull your radio to get the serial number off of the backand contact Honda directly. You could pull the radio and find the serial number yourself, but I am not sure if Honda will believe that you own the car if you just show up.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Reprogamming!!?? I guess that's the price we pay for security. I'm sure there's a huge black market for the factory stereo in an "S"... gotta be one of the best sound systems ever. (NOT!!!!!!!)

Hey Everyone,

I got my radio up again. On the other S2000 website they had a thread dealing with the dead Radio issue.

On 2002's and on:

1. Turn the ignition ON then turn the radio OFF.
2. Push the 1 and 6 radio push buttons and turn the radio ON at the same time.
3. In about two to three seconds the radio will flash two codes ie U1234:L4321. Use the numbers only.

This is the serial number for the radio. from there you can go to the fealer and get the code or if you know your service writer well enough they can tell you the code over the phone.

Now that I have my radio back I can look for a good head unit and speakers. Jeez, it never ends.

Thanks for all your inputs,

Cosmo

It's funny, Java... I was out last night enjoying the beautiful Dallas weather (undoubtedly with a goofy smirk on my face the whole time), and thinking that life ain't so bad.
I suppose we humans are hard-wired to complain about stuff... but that a man's life can be measured by the quality of his gripes. "I sure wish I had something to eat" tends to put "I sure wish I had a stereo that went to 41" into perspective!
But if it weren't for our petty complaints, and our desire to satisfy our insatiable wants, I guess we'd all be driving black Model-Ts!!

Ahhh-h-h-h . . . the stupid "jus'-can't-stop-myself" Stewie grin. It's been awhile, but that exact topic pops up again n' again.
Glad to hear that it's not goin' the way'a the vinyl top.
As for gripin'/bitchin'/grousin'/whinin', one revered branch of the U.S. military used'ta (no doubt still does) joke that if one of it's members wasn't bitchin' about somethin', anything . . check 'im for a pulse. N' if it's good enough for them, it's sure'z hell good enough for me. Hell! It allows me to feel patriotic when I gripe.
Be well.
