S2K interior colors

I saw a white S2K with what I think is a gorgeous tan interior. I have noted that this interior is only available with the white exterior. Is there any reason Honda would not want the lighter and beautiful color to be available in the red, black, blue or even yellow exterior color schemes? It is a puzzlement.
Any ideas?

Well, you want to know why Honda didn't put the tan interior into the non-white S2000's? I don't think anyone here works in management for Honda, so I don't think you're going to get a legit answer.

However, you could just find someone with a white car that is willing to trade. That's pretty unlikely though, as most owners with it wouldn't trade for any other color. But every once in awhile, you see a car being parted out with a nice entact tan or black/tan interior.

I didn't expect anyone to have the "magic answer". I simply trust the forum to have a good sense of what Honda might be thinking. Obviously, that is hit and miss at best.
Living in the South I appreciate the lighter color interior and am willing to endure the black interior to get the color I want (red) but I can't help but be a bit frustrated by the lack of options in the interior color realm. As a newbie to the blog let me say that I have valued the comments on other issues and yours on this one.

Just keep an eye out, someone might be wanting to trade interiors sometime.

Generally, most trades are either black, all red, or blue. So I can feel your pain. I have a Spa Yellow AP1, so I have the all black interior already. I think all red is too big of a contrast and blue just wouldn't look right. I really think the black/red combo would look sweet, but nobody ever wants to trade black/red for all black. So I'm just being patient until the perfect deal comes along.
