Im not sure man sorry i couldnt help on manual raise, But check your E-Break safty switch. Before you spend the big bucks for a new motor. You probably already knew this, but i'm just trying to look out.

You have to remove your console.I'll reseach it alittle and get back with ya. I ahavent done it, but i know its there. Its a safty device to keep us from bringing the top up and down while moving. If it isnt being triggered it wont let the motor activate to go up or down.

Here is the link ubove after that type in: Electrical-Switch & Relay : Stoplight Switch. I'm pretty sure this is what it is. If the e-break isnt activated it wont let the to go up or down. I got to go by honda tomorrow so i'm goin to check with them. Plus i got to take out my console to screw on my lighter so i'll get some pics of the switch for ya.

don't worry about it now... i figured it out.

i was thinking that if the motor is not even trying to turn, and the fact that i just found out my windshield wipers weren't working either i thought it might be a fuse.

well there are 2 fuses under the hood for "soft top motor"

but i first checked the fuse in the footwell labeled "wipers". it was a 20amp fuse, and it was the first one i pulled.. guess what. it was blown!

so the wipers fuse was blown and my top wouldn't work? that is dumb, but i used a spare 20amp that was in there and it worked fine after that.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

If the ebrake switch is open then there will be a display on the dash. So you don't have to take anything apart yet. I would check the fuses first.
