I think its comfortable but if youre looking for a 87 caddy seat look elsewhere. Only way you will know if its comfortable to you is by you sitting in it.

Most S2k owners find the S very comfortable. Many/most of us have done 600+ mile days without a problem.

Most folks drawn to Stewie would sit on a three-legged stool to be able to drive it. The seatin's very comfortable. (It's got seats . . . right?)

only put 200+ miles on mine so far, but I love it. then again, I'm only 5'6". the seats are perfect for me. I have a buddy that is 6'+ and about 240 with some pudge around the waist. he doesn't fit that well and is considering buying one . but I still agree with java. it does have seats that's all that matters.

Aaay Wasab, wussupp?
'Funny thing about those seats: 90% of the folks that sit in 'em feel that, while they ain't 'zackly ergonomically designed specifically for each of us, they're amazin'ly capable of fittin' most real well. All things considered, I'd godda say that the inside'a the seat design was some'a the best work that Ma Honda did on the car. Any seat's gonna start givin' ya saddle-sores when you're in it for extended periods'a time. This one's one'a the least offensive that me n' my ol' posterior recall . . n' we can recall quite a few. Be well. Java

gotta agree with java on this one. first time in a long time that my backside didn't want to quit before the rest of me. seems like i was always having to adust the seats every so often to keep in the comfort zone with many other cars, but the s has a sweet spot that i'm sure most people (and most body types) can find.

I occasionally drive from Lafayette, LA ot West Palm Beach Fl, straight through. I get out of the car after 12-13 hours and feel fine and I'm 56 years old. More comfortable than any other sports car I've ever owned......

12 -13 hours Mark?
Yep. I'd say that's about as good a test as you can give it. Not quite Iron-Butt territory, but definitely a very serious chunk'a seat-time. Be well. Java

The only thing I can compare it to was a Porsche speedster I had. There was very little padding in the seats, but the longer you sat the more comfortable they got.
I get so engrossed in driving the 2000 that I forget about my butt. Not that I'm fixated on it.

First time I sat in the car, I drove it 700 miles only getting out for food and gas (12 hours start to finish). I'm 60 years old and 6'-0" ~160#. I find this car to be very comfortable (surprisingly so) for a car that handles as well as it does. I am considering using it for a month long vacation next spring and have no issues about seat comfort or the ride while cruising.

Buy it as you go, leave it behind. Let the trip be the vacation. I like the seats, and I'm 6' @ 225 lbs. I drove it 400 miles from Chicago to Columbus, and it was more comfortable than the Buick I once owned. I attest it to the seats forcing you to sit straight and not slouch.

Samey-same situation with me n' I'm but a wee, but portly 5' 9": rolled for a few hundred yesterday n' there wasn't one point where I hadda shift aroun' to prevent the ol' long-trip bed-sores.
One super-comfortable ride n' last night those headlights jus' made the trip that more enjoyable. No question aboudditt, right oud'a the box this is the most comfortable ride I've ever owned. Be well. Java

Yep over 97000 miles 35k with the stock seat and the remainder in a Recaro SPG after the oems were stolen. Never uncomfortable. I could drive across the country if the gas tank was bigger in one go.

Did you ever find a mechanic in Lafayette that you like? I am beginning to do some things to my S and need to find someone to tune it. I live in Scott and drive an 04 Silverstone. I've seen quite a few yellows around Lafayette, are you driving one of them? |

I'm 5'11" and 210#. Was a bit skeptical about buying an S, but once I drove it, it fit like a glove. I read a Car and Driver article from 2003 about the S and it summed up the S perfectly: Fits like your favorite pair of jeans. Enjoy it!

I gotta agree with all of the above I've noticed that japanese cars just seem to have the seat thing down pat, maybe that cause I fit the build at 5'8 160lbs
I have a bad back and this has been the best car I have ever driven in seat wise and that goes for some pretty expensive italian ones also. I would say the car fits as good as those old sneakers just when they get to the point when your wife makes you throw them out!!

I think you guys are missing the point. The original poster said "he was all about comfort". No way is any sports car going to be considered comfortable by the average car buyer. Now, I will agree that FOR A SPORTS CAR the S2000 is pretty good. If you have really long legs and are much over 250lbs it ain't gonna work. I have a buddy who is 6' 2" and about 300 and he can't even get into the car. For smaller to medium sized guys its great. But as compared to a SUV or a Caddy it ain't comfortable. The real question is "comfortable as compared to what"? If the original poster was to tell us what he has owned in the past we might be able to respond in a more meaningful way. I've owner Miata's and Rx7's and the S2000 is better then those cars mostly because of the seats.
