speakers?

hey. im looking at replacing the stock spearks which are nearly blown lol. i was looking at them and it seems to me that i have to find shallow mount 6 1/2 speaks for the doors. i was wondering if there was any way to fit any other depth size instead of buying shallowmount. if not i think im going to stick with the Boston Acoustics S65RC. dose anyone have these?

I just installed the Rockford Fosgate P163 6.5" speakers in the front od my y2k s2000 and the sound difference in unreal!!!!. They were $120 @ Best Buy. The only thing else needed was a speaker adapter and a 1/2 " foam spacer that they installed. I was recommended to install the Rockford Fosgate P142c's in the rear of the car(near your outside shoulder area for both driver and passenger. I am still using my stock unit and it still sounds grerat.

I have MB Quart QSD 218.16's and they are perfect but I don't think they are available any more. Focals are getting great reviews and I would suggest Lucid mounts. Get rid of the plastic and install lucids aluminum speaker mounts.

I just installed Focal 165 K2P's and they are superior to the MB Quarts. I would have never believed it. They are much deeper than the MB Quarts. I ground off about 1/4" off the white plastic stop on the window and added 1/8" spacer behind the woofer to get sufficient clearance. The sound is incredible
