Dunno from radio'z AT, but the one in my Stewie plays music n' CD'z too.
'Godda big ol' sound-system back at the hacienda fer serious listenin', a beat-up ol' recliner'at Mama Java keeps tryin' ta drag out ta the curb fer serious kickin'-back, hard-rock candy fer lookin' through*, n' Stewie fer serious drivin'. Anythin' beyond that'z neat'n'all, but jus' so much fluff. Java (*thanks) (Jagg: good ta see it bein' driven like it wuz meant ta be driven. Wuzzatt smooth croonin' the Inkspots?)

It just goes to show you that Honda wasn't all that worried about the frills, and it shows in the way it runs. If my intention was not to beat this car into submission, I'd upgrade the radio....as it all but disappears once you make to transition to vtec at anything beyond half-throttle........I'm saving my pennies for brakes and tires. Made this video last week, mid twenties for temp......hard to get the tires sticky enough to make it really sing. Ahhh, summer's comin' soon enough. I'd love to try and convince you the smoooooth croonin' was anybody but Hank W. , but........that voice is hard to hide. Regards, jagg |

You nailed it Desmo.....Why no speed sensitive volume in my AP1? It ain't a cavalier vl, ya know?
Ahhhh.....doesn't matter to me anyway. The engine sings enough for this lad. I believe I'm working my way towards really knowing my S2k. Keeping it running is the easy part, making it do what it's capable of doing is the lure of this machine. It's a fine tool, when employed within the boundaries of it's intended purpose. I digress........I'm blowin' out my ears when I come to a stop after running at highway speeds, and I would appreciate some type of speed sensitive volume control, but in the end it's a total non-factor. If the radio quit playin' in my stewie tomorrow, I wouldn't be frantic to get it operational again. Yeah, I'd want it.....but it wouldn't stop me from getting behind the wheel at any available opportunity. Regards, Jagg |

I just ordered one of these: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wBs6wam...x?I=500CDA9883
You get the Ipod adaptor, wiring harness, and free shipping!! I'll get the Modifry adaptor later with the volume/speed control. |

Will do, it's supposed to be here Thursday so I'll get it put in over the weekend and report back shortly after. I'm amazed at how well the stock system sounds (with the IPOD) after reading about how bad everyone says it is. Can't wait to see what a good Alpine does.

Got the Alpine installed along with the Modifry unit with the VSC option. What an amazing improvement over stock! I love the VSC (volume gets louder as you go faster and goes back down when you slow). If you have an IPOD you can't beat the Alpine 9883, it has great search functions and allows you to do many things you can't do with the IPOD itself. I have over 8100 songs on my Classic and It's nice to have all those songs at your fingertips! The stock speakers sound really good and loud, even with the top down. Get the alpine harness from Modifry and it takes 20min at the most to install everything.

As long as people want them I will continue to sell them at a fair price. Hondas rear speakers sound terrible and the others who make this product charge way to much.
I'm still in my shop and selling on Ebay having fun while avoiding yard work, the honey do list..you get the picture. Mysticthunderegg |

On this subject I'd like to share my audio upgrade to an Alpine CDA-9883e with iPod connection, Alpine SPS 600's and SPS-600c's mounted in the hoops of the roll bar using an innovative product I found on eBay. I also purchased a special cable that allows the after market head to still be controlled by the dash mounted radio controls. I only did this yesterday but in my short ride home from the audio shop , with the top down the results are IMPRESSIVE! I can actually hear the music, it is clear and I don't have to turn up the volume to an unpleasant level even with the sound of my HKS exhaust. The installer was a bit unconvential and mounted the speaker in front of the speaker cloth. I like it!
