Focal 165 Slim....

Has anyone listened to the 165V Slims? I know the regular 165V's sound fantasic. Would the slims fit better in my 05 S? The top mounting depth is 2 and a sixteenth. I have read that lots of you have used the normal 165's with Lucid's mounting brackets, but I would like to keep the speaker behind the orginal grill, if possible.

I have the 165 K2P's and they are quite deep. I reduced the thickness of the plastic stop for the windows and they went in without much problem. I also have Lucid aluminum speaker mounts. Which provide a better mounting surface. If anyone wants to hear this system, I am in Richmond VA.

And I am using the original grills in the door panels. Everything snaps together perfectly.
