Subwoofer trunk sound quality
Just bought an enclosure from Z-Enclosures for my S2000 and was wondering if any of you guys had much luck with sound transfer into the cabin of the car? Without ports into the cab of the car it seems that you would get more trunk rattle than actual bass.
Are yall pretty happy with the results of these trunk mounted subs? Thanks! Kyle BTW, first time S2000 owner and first post. |

If you take the carpet off of the spare tire and remove the spare tire, you should see a straight shot to the plastic panel behind the seat.

i have a JL Audio 10 in my trunk and its good bass to me. It rattles a little when you crank up the sound, if you wanna get an ass load of bass then i dont know.

one thing you can do to minimize rattle is get some dynomat and put on your truck, it will stop it from rattling so much, the only downfall is its kinda heavy, but as long as you dont use alot, it shouldnt be a problem. If you dont want to do that, you can tighen down your truck hatch, that should help the rattle out a lil bit as well, but the problem with that is it takes a lot to get your truck open because its tighter, just some ideas to try.

haha yea you could do that as well i guess, i mean its not super heavy, and if you have a subwoofer in there already i dont think you really care about how much the car weight is im just guessing

With mine, first I had the all stock parts in the trunk and the sub sounded fine. Then I removed the spare tire and moved the amp there and thus have a port into the main cabin. There is slightly more bass getting through. But it is sometime hard to differentiate whether the Focals are creating the Bass or the sub woofer is.
