Bazooka Subwoofer Tube? anyone ever see one?
edit: Ok after some research and talking to an electrical engineer (I work at an engineering firm) I think the Bazooka 200watt Sub will work good for what I want. That and I found some Pioneer 6-1/2" speakers install depth of 1-3/4". At 220watts. Now I am keeping the stock deck so thats what I have found out. Any more input would be nice thanks guys.

I have one in my Suburban, it's ok, but not super high quality, for the price, they put out a fair amount of db.
I put an Infinity Basslink II in my S. It sounds fairly good, and is easy to move if I really need the room, I may eventually put a dedicated sub back there though. |

Well I like my Bazooka in the Suburban, it puts out some low end, not super loud, and kinda boomy, but it's not terrible. I got an 8" powered Bazook for $45 a while back, so I can't complain.
You'll need to run power from the battery, and hook into your speaker leads somewhere, but it shouldn't be a big deal. |

I know nothing about cars but I know a little about systems (lucky enough to be a loser stuck in retail his whole life) haha. Back to the question though. If your looking for something to fill the blanks for your low ends in the car Its decent bang for the buck, But I have a couple questions for you. What kinda music do you listen to? Do you like to crank it up as loud as you can?

naw I dont crank it up. I am a fan of clarity over loudness. The music I listen to comprises of Rock, Classic Rock, Original Motion Picture soundtracks, some rap/rock. Stuff with bass er alot of bass isnt to much. I am just lookin for more clarity at 70mph.

I listen to alot of rock/metal and clarity is what i look for most in my systems, However im a whore about my speakers and if i can help it for interiors il run bostons/focals. That being said obviously you dont want to empty your wallet with the purchase of new audio equipment. Sounds like your going the right direction on the pioneers with a shallow depth. As far as the sub goes to each his own. personally i perfer sealed sub boxes for a tighter sound. The bazooka will be a little sloppy but it wont be horrible. And if your keeping the stock deck just keep in mind if you crank it to high you might still get alot of wash out and cruddy sound from lack of power.

Well since you already have the stuff might as well hook it up and see if it does the trick for you, If not pick up a 2 channel or 4 channel amp for your interiors. You wont need anything huge so it shouldnt be to spendy.

You would be better getting rid of the stock HU and putting a quality one, Alpine or similar, then some high quality door speakers and an amp. You would be surprised how much bass and excellent fidelity you can get without a sub woofer.
