Sound Deadening
Just got my 02 Stewie earlier this week (Spent 3 hours with my mechanic going through the whole thing before I found the secret compartment
) and the previous guy put in a nice head unit and speakers, but there's still a lot of road noise when I'm on the highway speed. I was looking to Dynamat the whole thing, but I'm not sure how well that'll work on a convertible. Anybody try it before and could tell me how well it worked out? And any suggestions on a brand of sound deadening or will dynamat work fine? |

with the top up you shouldnt get much road noise. With the top down nothing will help.

I put b-quiet in my s just a couple of weeks ago. I did the trunk floor, doors and driver's and passenger's floor. While I did not use a meter for before and after, I can tell a difference in road noise. Off course with the top down, plenty of noise still enters the cabin

I'm not too worried with the top down, but when I have the top up sometimes it seems like the road noise on the highway is amplified. At least it's much more noticeable to me. With the top down what I hear is allll that wind

It's a raggtopp good Ser, as such noise'z made considerably more available than a hardtop. The top up seemz to pu'cha in'a drum with the raggtopp actin' like the skin.
It's never gonna be like yer sound system in a hardtop . . 'r yer livin'room. The music goes round'n round, whoa-oh-oh-oh, n' it comez out here. Java

Deadening will make a difference, the biggest difference will come form the doors. If you can deaden the doors properly, you will get much more sound into the car, which will help a lot with the top down at higher speeds
