How to remove the glove box between the seats?

I am installing my new USA Spec ipod interface in my S2000, and the unit is a little bigger than a pack of playing cards. I need to find a place to stash it, and I am thinking there might be some room underneath the glove box between the seats, behind the cigarette lighter.

Is there any trick to removing that glove box so I can see what is underneath/behind it?

Thanks!

Yes it it is a lot of work. Start by removing the seats. And then every screw and panel which is near it and don't forget the one on the bottom in the convertible top well. (buy a shop manual) What I did was drill a hole in the bottom of the secret compartment and fish the Ipod cable under the carpet and into it.
