Back of Seat Mod
Ok, here's a little project for your folks out there with too much time on their hands.....like me, the old retired one.
As some of you more observant types may have noticed I'm a bit OCD about Baby's appearance. Her previous owner must have been a tall person and pushed the seat ALL the way back which then must have hit the roll bar hoop causing some scratching of the plastic insert on the back of both seats. Hardly noticeable mind you, but annoying to me. I tried using rubbing compound to buff it to, NO GO. The finish is painted on and just made matters worse. I then had another idea. since the plastic pieces come off easily, why not paint them again? Ahhh, but that would be too easy. Why not make them look like carbon fiber? A quick Google search came up with this site: http://www.instructables.com/id/Carb...e-carbon-fibe/ It looked pretty easy, and it was. The only thing I did differently was I used spray paint from Home Depot and I used pieces of fiberglass screen (also from Home Depot) for the mask material. I'm really happy with the results. Here are some pix. ![]() ![]()

I guess if you could pry it gently it might be easier, but mine just sort of pull right off.

Nice job Pab! I may need some detailed instructions. My wife wants the kitchen painted. How about stainless steel walls with carbon fiber appliances!
